When the Business Unicorn asked what I would change in the workplace, I was inspired by the ideas already shared in this series on leadership, culture, and accountability. Then, contrary to the flamingo’s outgoing nature, I decided to look inward and wish for the gift of perspective.
If I had a magic wand, I’d make everything stop. Freeze ourselves in time for just a little while.
With everything at a standstill, we would have a chance to take a deep breath and look around. To reflect on what we’re doing and why we’re doing it. To reconnect with our priorities and rediscover our purpose. To refocus on the things that really matter.
And when the workday inevitably resumed, hopefully we would approach it with clearer perspective:
✨ More focus on impact over activity
✨ More meaningful interactions with team members
✨ More balance and time spent with loved ones
What if the most powerful workplace transformation isn’t found in the next big initiative – but in the magic that happens when we just slow down.
If you had that wand, what would you change?
